Its controls are a little wonky as a modern player, but they feel deliberately wonky rather than dated. RE4, though, really hasn't aged poorly at all (speaking as someone who played it for the first time just last year). That put a lot of scrutiny on every single change that they made, because they had to bring to the modern era what the originals brought to the table in their day. The remakes were always going to effectively function as a replacement for them, at least where a wider audience is concerned. Even beyond a question of accessibility, the original RE2 and 3 are, for all their merits, extremely dated by now. This is definitely something that puts RE4make into a really interesting position compared to the RE2 and 3 remakes. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
